Oko Igbala was born at Isale Domo Quarters of Ilaro, Ogun state, to the family of Akinlawon on 18th of August, 1982. His parents enrolled young Babatunde in Christ Church School, Ilaro in 1988. His obedient, industrious and high intellectual quotient made him to be appointed the Head Boy of his set in 1994.

He was admitted to Yewa (Egbado) College, Ilaro in 1994. In 1996, his parent’s love for qualitative education made them to decide to send him to his uncle who then worked under the Ogun State Ministry of Education, in Odogbolu Grammar School, Odogbolu. He joined the school and finished as the most outstanding Prefect of his set. Due to Yinusa’s disciplinary character and passion for communal work, he was saddled with the responsibility of a  LABOUR PREFECT for his set. He discharged his duties without any fear or favour but in line with the school’s rules and regulation.

Babatunde was admitted into Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, in 2002 into the Faculty of Law where he had his Diploma Certificate in Law. He then moved to Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State as one of the Pioneer set of the first university of Education in Nigeria to study Political Science. While in TASUED, he was a member of the institution Students’ Union Government. He took active parts in the students struggles. For his outstanding qualities, he was elected Member of the Students Representatives Council and he paid his dues as representatives of College of Social and Management Science. His activities in students politics made him to be appointed Chairman, Ethics and Financial Crime Commission where he did not disappointed. He left the school in 2009.

For his NYSC, he served in the North-West region of Nigeria – Matazu LG of Katsina State. He left the service as the Most Outstanding Corps Member of his Batch. Babatunde was a detribalise personality that mixed freely with his fellow Corps Members while in service.

His love for communal development made him to inquest for more knowledge, he is a Post Graduate student of National Open University studying Public Administration.

While in tertiary institution, he worked as a part time worker of Adewale Farm Care Service in Odogbolu. Upon finishing his NYSC in 2011, he moved to Ilaro to join Optimum Success College, Ilaro. Within a while, he displayed his potential when he led the school to win a State Award. His leadership qualities was noticed which made the school management to appoint him as Head of his Department.

In 2013, he established an evening class to uplift the educational standard of his environment. The evening class has transformed into an academic institution – Perfect Assurance Academy, Ilaro, making him the youngest Proprietor and Principal of Private Secondary School in Ilaro. He is an entrepreneur to the core.

Upon finishing his NYSC, he moved to his hometown to join active politics. He join the progressive party of the Defunct Action Congress of Nigeria. He aspired for the Councillorship Position of Ilaro Ward 1 of Yewa South LGA. His submission to the authority of the party made him to be listened to the voice of the elders of his party when he was asked to step down for another aspirant to test his loyalty to the constituted authority which he gladly did. He joined others to move into the merger arrangement that produced All Progressive Congress.

He is a member of several communal organizations like
The Rebuilders,
Yewa Connecting Minds,
Ogunwest Youth Vanguard,
Liberation Movement,
Ogun Youths Forum, 
Ogunwest Liberation Agenda,
Lass and Lasses Brigade,
Man O’ War and so on.

Today, he has declared his interest to contest for the prestigious position of Yewa South Local Government because of his resolve to improve the lots of his people through initiatives and quality ideas. He sees the need to reposition people’s hope and confidence in local government administration. His desire is to serve the people and provide them with a good sense of belongings that will enhance sustainable development.

He is energetic, industrious, committed to communal activities, intelligent and transparent. He is also a team player who like to bridge the gap between different political thoughts and ideologies.

For sometimes now, he has been the voice behind the unification of Ogun West indigenes for the attainment of their age long desires. He is a voice that can be trusted.
