The Yewa Anglican Diocese has held a one day praise and prayer session to pray for the people and land of Yewa in the new year and ahead of 2019 Gubernatorial ambition of the region.
The Bishop of the Yewa Anglican Diocese Rt. Rev. Michael Adebayo Oluwarohunbi in his welcome charge taken from Genesis 1 : 26-28 and Jer. 1: 9-10 enjoined the congregation to rise up, walk in Dominion and reign . He declared that God is prepared to walk with the people of Yewa land in the total transformation of the land . He added that the land had been sanctified for massive development .
The Olu of Owode Yewa His Royal Majesty Oba Revd. Dr. Akindele who represented the Paramount Ruler of Yewa land His Royal Majesty Oba Gbadewole Kehinde Olugbenle at the event remarked propheticaly that Yewaland has this day been declared BEULAH adding that the land had been healed and transformed into land of glory . He added that the people of Yewa land are now well able to walk in His Dominion.
The Guest Preacher from Gburuku in Plateau state Reverend Canon Goke Ologbenla prayed for divine healing of the land and declared it fit for leadership, rulership, governance and massive development. He added that God with Yewa people had become majority in the State while praying that every obstacle on the way of the people of Yewa to the Government house shall be uprooted before 2019. He also enjoined the people to remain in His Dominion claiming that God who made it possible for a Birom man to become Governor in Plateau State is strong enough to fight the Yewa people’s battle in Ogun State.
Also in a special prayer Session Pastor Atumo asked the Congregation to trust in the Lord mights and powers of prophetic prayers concerning the 2019 project. He emphasized that no one make himself king or ruler except by God and the people adding that as God crown the Kings, He shall make the Yewa project an easy walk since the Church in agreement has declared to walk in Dominion. He propheticaly declared that as many of those who may want to stand in the way of the Lord concerning God’s vision for Yewa land shall be uprooted like He did to the Pharaoh’s Egyptian army against the Israelite.
The Oloke of Oke Odan HRM. Oba Dr. Rotimi Fagbenroin his goodwill message at the event eulogised the Yewa Diocesan Bishop for deeming it fit to organise the prayer session to heal and transform the land from its clutches of backwarness and failures. He recounted the past efforts of the people on the Governorship ticket and prayed for divine visitation in 2019. The occasion also witnesed performance of guest artists
The Bishop of the Diocese used the occasion to bless and launch the water project of the Diocesan Women Guild ” Yewa Living Spring” available in bottle and satchet. This year edition of Yewa Praise was the third in the series and it was attended by a large number of Yewa Diocese clergies and laymen from all the 18 Administrative areas of the Diocese.
